Mercedes-Benz has intensified its battle against counterfeiters, resulting in the seizure of over 16 million counterfeit vehicle parts in 2023.

Authorities conducted over 740 raids worldwide last year, representing a 20% increase from 2022. The raids targeted illegal operations producing and distributing fake Mercedes-Benz parts.

The seized parts included paper air filters, wheels made from weaker-than-specified metals, and other components that could pose safety risks to consumers.

Mercedes-Benz is continuing to ramp up its efforts in the fight against counterfeit vehicle parts. The company works closely with law enforcement and customs authorities to identify and disrupt the supply chain of fake parts.
