Created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, Cobra Kai is a martial arts comedy-drama streaming television series that premiered on YouTube Premium on May 2, 2018. Starring Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, the series is set 34 years after the events of the 1984 film The Karate Kid and follows the lives of Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) and his former rival Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) as they reopen their karate dojos and rekindle their old feud.

The third season of Cobra Kai, stylized as COBRA KAIII, was released on Netflix on January 1, 2021, and consisted of 10 episodes. Many viewers considered season three to be the best season of Netflix's Cobra Kai thus far. With a new sensei at the helm of the Cobra Kai dojo, a three-way feud takes center stage, proving that old grudges never truly die.
