England Women Beat Netherlands in Thrilling Comeback

Toone's Late Goal Keeps Lionesses' UEFA Nations League Hopes Alive

England came from behind to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Netherlands in their UEFA Women's Nations League clash at Wembley.

The Lionesses needed a win to keep their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals alive, and they delivered a sensational comeback in front of a raucous home crowd. The Netherlands took a 2-0 lead into the break, but England fought back in the second half with goals from Rachel Daly, Alessia Russo, and Ella Toone. Toone's winner came in the 92nd minute, sparking wild celebrations among the England players and fans. The victory keeps England in contention for a place in the Nations League semi-finals, and they will now face Switzerland in their final group game on Tuesday.

England Women's stand-in captain Mary Earps said she was relieved to have played a part in the team's comeback win.

"I really let the team down in the first half, but I'm proud of the way we fought back," Earps said.

"We showed great character and determination, and I'm confident we can go on and qualify for the semi-finals."
