Arsenal U21s suffer heavy defeat to Aston Villa U21s

Young Gunners go down 5-3 in Premier League 2 clash

Aston Villa U21s came from behind to beat Arsenal U21s 5-3 in a thrilling Premier League 2 clash at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night.

Arsenal took the lead after just nine minutes through Khayon Edwards, but Villa hit back with five goals in the space of 20 minutes to take control of the game.

Louie Barry equalised for Villa in the 20th minute, before Cameron Archer put the visitors ahead just two minutes later. Archer then added his second of the game in the 33rd minute, before Jaden Philogene-Bidace made it 4-1 in the 38th minute.

Villa extended their lead further in the second half when Philogene-Bidace scored his second of the game in the 53rd minute. Arsenal pulled a goal back through Charles Sagoe Jr in the 67th minute, but Villa held on to claim all three points.
